9 Incredible LGBTQIA+ Creators

Updated: Jul 26

Representation in media matters. For members of the LGBTQIA+ community, this statement couldn’t be more true. Though it’s hard to categorize the experiences of each unique person in this community under the same umbrella, people seeing others who have had similar experiences to them can be life-changing. Historically, the LGBTQIA+ community has faced deep discrimination, inequality, and unimaginable obstacles.

One of the most powerful things that allies can do to celebrate Pride Month is to amplify the voices of LGBTQIA+ community members, allowing their voices to be heard as they create community, enact change, fight for rights, and tirelessly teach even though they shouldn’t have to. Here are 9 influential LGBTQIA+ voices that we want to amplify this month and every month:

Devin-Norelle (@steroidbeyonce)

Dedicated to trans activism and fighting inequalities, Devin-Norelle is a multi-faceted individual who can’t help but inspire all those who consume zis content. Scrolling through the posts made by Devin-Norelle, viewers will be reminded of critical court cases happening around the country and learn about the importance of creating safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ youth, all while enjoying the bright and thoughtful personality that Devin-Norelle brings to every table.

This New York native openly shares zis experience growing up as a queer kid, hoping to illustrate that even the smallest community surrounding kids can really make a difference in their lives.

Matt and Beau are major feel-good vibes; they make us want to sit on the couch surrounded by plants with a cozy blanket nearby and scroll through their page for hours.

Chris Olsen (@chrisolsen)

Much of his TikTok focuses on mental health and sexuality, but there is a healthy dose of humor mixed into every piece of content.

Miss Peppermint (@peppermint247)

Never afraid to speak up on important topics such as trans rights, racial inequities, and human rights, Miss Peppermint shows her followers that you really can do it all. On top of that, she’s a fashion ICON.

Amplify, Amplify, Amplify

If you’re an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community, we challenge you to figure out how you can amplify the voices of people in the community. It’s not time to talk over anyone, but rather, it is time to show support, uplift, and amplify. If you’re a member of the LGBTQIA+ community who takes the time to educate, spread love, and make the world just a bit brighter, thank you. Happy Pride!
